Alumni Choir of The Academic Women's Choir of The University of Tartu is a constantly operating concert choir, where alumni of the university's academic women's choir and other university choirs, employees of the University of Tartu, and doctoral students sing. For example, Associate Professor of Population Genetics Ene Metspalu, Professor of Genetics Angela Ivask, Research Fellow of Genetics Anne Menert and director of IMCB and Professor of Microbial Genetics Maia Kivisaar sing in this choir from the employees of the Omicum building.

The choir was founded in 1992 by maestro Vaike Uibopuu, who is now the choir's Honorary Conductor. She was the choir's conductor until the autumn of 2013, since then Ülle Sakarias has been conducting the choir (for the first three years with Tiiu Sinipalu (now Ivanova)). The choir is trained vocally by Karmen Puis, a soloist and vocal teacher at Theater Vanemuine. The choir gives four to five concerts every year and participates regularly at the song festivals. The alumni choir has won prizes in competitions, including a silver diploma at the Gdansk International Choir Festival in 2016 and the first place in the category of female and male choirs at the Chernomorski Zvutsi Choir Festival in Bulgaria in 2018.

Conductor Ülle Sakarias graduated from Tartu Music School and Estonian Music Academy with a degree in choir conducting. After graduating, she started working as a teacher of choir music at the Tartu Teachers' Seminary, and as a lecturer at the University of Tartu. The choir of music teacher students prepared the exam concerts and successfully participated in international choir competitions in Riva del Garda, Italy, and Llangollen, UK. Many of her former students work as music teachers and choir directors. Ülle has been the conductor of the male choir "Gaudeamus" and the women's choir of The Filiae Patriae Sorority. Currently, she conducts Alumni Choir of the Academic Women's Choir of the University of Tartu, the Jõgeva County Mixed Choir "Serviti" and the Äksi Mixed Choir. She also teaches music at the Tartu Kroonuaia School.
