Painting exhibition "Shades of colours"

The authors of this year's last exhibition are the artists Lemme Haldre and Sirje Piir, who paint in the studio of Konrad Mägi Ateljee in Tartu.

Lemme Haldre (b. 1955) is an artist, who works in Tartu. She graduated from the University of Tartu and works daily as a psychotherapist in addition to painting. She received her art education under Heldur Viires (2008-2013) in the painting studio of the Konrad Mägi Ateljee, where he is a contributor to this day. In addition, she has studied painting and drawing at various advanced training courses, since 2018 she is a member of the Estonian Artists' Union.

Doing art has a special role in my life. By studying the relationships between shadow and light, you will discover inexhaustible combinations. It's a game you'll never get bored of. Painting itself allows you to search and find inner balance.

Lemme Haldre

Sirje Piir (b. 1955) graduated from Tartu School of Art with a major in artistic design and worked as an artist-designer and computer graphic designer for over 30 years. She graduated with the specialty of design graphics, 3D visualizer and modeller and obtained the 5th category designer's invitation. She has performed at exhibitions since 1990.

Piir has studied painting under the guidance of Harri Pudersell, Alfred Kongo, Jaan Paris, Eifram Allsalu, Helle-Reet Paris (Vahersalu), Peeter Krosmann and drawing under Liili Mõtuste.

In addition to my main work, besides design work and computer graphics, I have painted and drawn. I have been interested in seeing nature's patterns, forms, colours, and painting nature. Colour is the painter's main means of expression.

Sirje Piir

She has been painting in the Konrad Mägi Studio since 2014, under the guidance of Heldur Viires. It is important to paint with natural light during the day, light and shadow, to see the harmony and composition of colours. In addition, she is a member of the studio of Konrad Mägi Ateljee.
